2019 OPENING WEEKEND SEPTEMBER 7TH

HAPPY FALL 2019! We are excited to open on Saturday September 7th and are looking forward to an amazing season. This weekend we will be picking Macintosh and Cortland. If you like your apples a bit on the tart side, you'll love these early season apples. We will also be selling our own nectarines!

As always, will also be offering free tractor rides into and out of the orchard and orchard-side roast your own s'mores. Saturday morning is looking to be a bit wet but it should dry out for the afternoon and Sunday’s weather looks ideal! Come and pick and picnic to live music of LukiesFortune.

Halloween Weekend: Picking and Carving!!

We're heading into the weekend before Halloween and we are gearing up for a great Halloween night pumpkin light!  This is a Westford tradition that has now spanned generations.  Come after dark and enjoy hundreds of jack-o-lanterns that are spread through the orchard in a walk that is out of this world!  This is a free event for the public and our way of saying "THANK YOU!" for a wonderful fall season.  Note: the parking lot does fill up so please be patient, go around the block and come back if we are full when you first arrive. We would welcome talented pumpkin carvers to help out this weekend. We will provide the “gutted” pumpkin, tools and stencils, if you would like to contribute to the pumpkin light.

We will also be picking apples (yes, plenty still on the trees!) and we have tons of pumpkins to choose from for your jack-o-lantern. For apples, we have plenty of cortland, empire, and golden delicious. We also have some mcintosh and macoun but you have to hunt around a bit to get them.  Check in on our Facebook page for the picking conditions this weekend, as we are expecting a Nor’easter on Saturday. Weather permitting, the fire will be roaring for orchard-side s'mores.  The fall foliage is gorgeous!

Our retail area is also packed full of just picked apples of all varieties (including Honeycrisp), great pumpkins of all sizes and shapes, fresh cider donuts (while they last!), ice cold apple cider and root beer.  There's plenty to do to have a great fall outing. Hope you will join us!

Drew Farm Welcomes The TRUFFLE and LukiesFortune October 20-21!

This weekend will be full of fun and activities at Drew Farm.  We will be picking McIntosh, Cortland, Macoun, Empire and Golden Delicious. We will have free tractor rides to and from the orchard, orchard-side roast-your-own s'mores, and pumpkin picking. Our scenic orchard picnic area will be the place to be on Saturday, with a special music event by Dave Gerard and the Acustic Truffle (12 pm-4pm) (https://www.gerardtruffle.com).  The showers initially forecasted for Saturday are gone and replaced with partly sunny skies and 60 degrees! Unlike many other pick-your-own operations, we provide you with a traditional New England-style apple picking experience, meaning our orchards are open to you to wander and enjoy- no rush, no herding!  Our retail area is stocked full fresh picked apples for quick sale (this weekend we will have McIntosh, Cortland, Macoun, Empire, Honey Crisp and our new variety EverCrisp! This weekend’s weather looks perfect for an outing to Drew Farm! We have plenty of apples - Macoun, McIntosh, Cortland, Empire and Golden Delicious - for picking. Our crop is tremendous this year so there are still PLENTY of apples down low on the trees the kids can reach easily. We will be offering orchard-side s’mores and live music by LukiesFortune both Saturday and Sunday. Bring a picnic and enjoy the fall season with your family and friends. The foliage is just starting to put on a show…and its going to be gorgeous!

This weekend our retail stand will be stocked full of packed apples for quick pickup, as well as apple cider, cider donuts, drew farm root beer and water. We are also well stocked with hardy mums of all sizes and colors and PUMPKINS!!!! We are the pumpkin the self-proclaimed pumpkin capital with pumpkins of all sizes! Also, when you purchase your pumpkin from Drew Farm you are helping to support our annual Pumpkin Light on Halloween; a free event featuring an orchard walk carved out by jack-o'-lanterns on Halloween night. Our pumpkin patch is also open and is a beautiful setting for cherished family photos.

Drew Farm is ready for you and your family to get out and enjoy the new season with a wonderful apple picking experience. September 15th and 15th look perfect for an apple picking event at Drew Farm! 

We are ready for you and your family to come to our beautiful hillside orchard for some traditional New England apple picking.  This weekend we will be picking McIntosh and Cortland, and for those that like early golden delicious, we have plenty of those as well-and they are picture perfect! Our picnic area is nestled in the orchard and has tables for your use or you are welcome to bring your favorite blanket and fine your own private corner of the orchard for your picnic.  The orchard-side fire will be blazing so that you can roast your own s'mores (we provide the fixings). We pride ourselves in having a beautiful setting so that you can relax and enjoy your time with your family and friends, take some photos, all while enjoying  the music of LukiesFortune (www.facebook.com/LukiesFortune).  Our retail area is stocked full of hardy mums of all sizes and colors, sugar pie pumpkins, and apples that are all packed for quick sale.  We will also have fresh cider, Drew Farm Root Beer, and fresh cider donuts(!) while they last!  Megan will also be providing pony rides through the orchard.

OPENING WEEKEND 2018

The weather is finally going to turn just in time for the start of apple picking!  We are excited to open on Saturday September 8th and are looking forward to an amazing season. Our orchard is uniquely situated on a hill so the views are spectacular.  We offer a no pressure picking experience and encourage you to bring along a picnic to enjoy in our picnic area. Tables are available on a first come, first served basis.  

We will have plenty of picked apples for sale in our retail area, as well as cider donuts, apple cider, root beer, water. and hardy mums.  Pumpkins will be coming in a few weeks. Thank you for a wonderful fall!

Drew Farms is now closed for the 2017 season. We ended the season with our Annual Pumpkin Light; what a night!  The weather was perfect and we were heartened to see how many of you came out to enjoy this wonderful Westford tradition. 

We want to thank all of you who came out this fall to enjoy the unique apple picking experience that we offer!  Its great to see people come and enjoy the orchard and what it has to offer. We would  also like to thank our fantastic musicians who joined us each weekend to provide orchard-side live entertainment in our picnic area: LukiesFortune, Morgan Minsk, Highway 51, and Dave Gerard and the Acoustic Truffle; you were all great!

Drew Farm welcomes the transition to October and FALL

This coming weekend promises to be PERFECT for your fall apple picking outing.  The weather has finally turned (!) and we are looking at sunshine and temperatures in the 60's. Drew Farm is ready and will offer: apple and pumpkin picking, tractor rides to and from the orchard, picnicking, and live music in the orchard picnic area by Morgan Minsk (Saturday) and Highway 31 (Sunday). Megan will be offering pony rides through the orchard throughout the weekend.  Hope you can come out and enjoy!

This weekend we will be picking McIntosh, Cortland, Empire, and Macoun; all are at or close to their peak in crispness and flavor. For the picnicking side of your outing, Drew Farm welcomes you to use our picnic tables and enjoy your outing with family and friends in a beautiful orchard setting. You are welcome to roast your own s'mores in our orchard side, apple wood fire. We provide the roasting sticks and a s'mores kit that will make 2 s'mores.  

Our retail area offers a great supply of hardy mums of all colors and sizes, as well as pumpkins and gourds for your fall home decorating.  Apple cider donuts will be available on Saturday and Sunday (while they last!).  We carry ice cold fresh apple cider, Drew Farm root beer and plenty of water.   We are open from 10am to 5pm every day.  We look forward to seeing you!
