IT'S THE GREAT PUMPKIN WEEKEND-ENDING SUNDAY NIGHT WITH OUR ANNUAL PUMPKIN LIGHT
This weekend looks to be a perfect weekend to spend some time at Drew Farm. The weather looks great Thursday through Sunday and hopefully, we have what you’re looking for at this time of year. Our pumpkin patch is packed full of pumpkins of all sizes and is a fabulous place for family photos. Actually, the entire farm is a great place for family/friend photos, as the foliage around the orchard is truly spectacular! We encourage you to pack up a picnic and come to our picnic area for fun, S’mores on Saturday,t and a great outside experience.
Our apple picking is limited. However, we do have quite a few Empire and Golden Delicious and Autumn Gala (also great for eating and cooking) if you’re willing to work for them a bit. Our retail area is stocked with apples of all varieties and we will have some cider donuts on Saturday. We will also have apple cider and root beer available.
Halloween is always a special day at Drew Farm and we hope this year will continue the amazing tradition with a few critical changes. WE WILL BE HOSTING THE DREW FARM PUMPKIN LIGHT SUNDAY NIGHT bc the weather does not look favorable on Monday. This year we will return to the orchard walk and it promises to be a special event. Hello all! We are very excited to reach out and let you know that Drew Farm will be in full operation this weekend. We have an abundance of apples to pick, pumpkin patch, live music, and plenty of goodies in the retail area. Our orchard is perched on a beautiful hill with stunning views and lots of stone walls for the kids to have fun on. We hope to see you!
HAPPY NEW ENGLAND HALLOWEEN!
Halloween is always a special day at Drew Farm and we hope this year will continue the amazing tradition with a few critical changes. WE WILL BE HOSTING THE DREW FARM PUMPKIN LIGHT TONIGHT - BUT - it will be a drive-by event. We have been carving and carving and have lots of jack-o-lanterns that will be displayed on the WALL ALONG SIDE TADMUCK ROAD for a drive-by event. There will not be an orchard walk. PLEASE do not try to park and get out of your cars. Our model for this is the COVID birthdays. Disappointing because we love the walk through the orchard on Halloween but just feel that this version is safer for 2020.
Also, Drew Farm will be closed Saturday, October 31. We are happy to offer hot cider and cider donuts (while they last) “on the house” beginning at noon. Hope you can swing by and enjoy a final bit of fall. You are, as always, welcome to come and stroll through the orchard. We welcome everyone with cabin fever who need a nice - beautiful - place to get for a walk.

On Saturday your live orchard entertainment will be from LukiesFortune and on Sunday from POALt.
Our apple picking is limited. However, we do have quite a few Cortland and Empire, great for cooking and eating, respectively. You will also find Golden Delicious and Autumn Gala (also great for eating and cooking) if you’re willing to work for them a bit. We will be selling PYO bags at half price-$10 peck.
Unfortunately, this will be the first year in decades that we will not have the Drew Farm Pumpkin walk on Halloween; we are very disappointed to have to do this! Our decision is based on an abundance of caution for both our employees and your safety. BUT, we do hope to put together a drive-by experience along the wall on Tadmuck Road that you will find enjoyable. It’s the best compromise we can do! Hope you can come by and enjoy it Saturday, October 31.

We want to thank all those that came out to Drew Farm this season for apple picking. We had such a great year that we are limited in apple picking. We are confident that if you are willing to go out into the orchard and walk around and search inside the trees you will find plenty of McIntosh, Cortland, Empire, Golden Delicious, Autumn Gala and Evercrisp to pick. LukiesFortune will be your entertainment in the orchard on Saturday and POLt on Sunday.

COLUMBUS DAY WEEKEND IS THE BEST TIME FOR APPLE PICKING

Most varieties are perfectly ripe, the leaves are turning and the temperature will be perfect for you and your family to come to Drew Farm for a traditional apple picking experience. This weekend we will be picking Cortland, Empire, Macoun, Autumn Gala and Golden Delicious. There are a few McIntosh left but you’ll have to search! Our pumpkin patch is clean and safe, and a great place for precious family photos. Our in-orchard entertainment will be hosting POALt on Saturday and our once a year treat on Sunday with Dave Gerard and the Acoustic Truffle on Sunday for you to enjoy while apple picking and picnicking. If the showers hold off on Monday LukiesFortune will be back tol entertain you on Monday.

We are ready for you and your family to come to our beautiful hillside orchard for some traditional New England apple picking. Our picnic area is nestled in the orchard and has tables that are socially distanced for your use or you are welcome to bring your favorite blanket and find your own private corner of the orchard for your picnic. We pride ourselves in having a beautiful setting so that you can relax and enjoy your time with your family and friends, take some photos, all while enjoying the music of LukiesFortune on Saturday and Highway 31 on Sunday beginning at noon.
Our retail area is stocked full picked apples for quick pickup (McIntosh, Cortland, Honey Crisp). Also plenty of hardy mums of all sizes and colors. Our retail area will be stocked with pumpkins and gourds so that you can begin your fall decorating and our pumpkin patch is all ready to go. HAPPY APPLE PICKING SEASON 2020!
We are excited to open on Saturday September 12th and are looking forward to an amazing apple season. There is a fabulous crop of all varieties that are waiting for you and you family to enjoy. This weekend we will be picking Macintosh and Cortland. If you like your apples a bit on the tart side, you'll love these early season apples. Our retail area will be stocked with freshly picked Macintosh and Cortland if you prefer a quick pickup. We’ll also have freshly made apple cider donuts (while they last) and plenty of cider, Drew Farm Root Beer and water. Our picnic area will be open with tables placed at safe distances from one another. LukiesFortune will provide our live entertainment Saturday and Sunday after 12.
We have made a couple of changes to our PYO operation in the hopes to keep everyone safe. Our retail area is strictly for retail sales. There will be a separate line where you can purchase your bags for apple picking that will enable everyone to maintain a 6 foot distance between groups. Unfortunately, because we want to be sure that everyone is a safe social distance from one another, we will not be offering tractor rides this year 😢
In compliance with state regulations and with respect to patrons and employees we ask that you abide by the following:
Retail:
Face covering/mask is mandatory in the retail area
Please do not include more family members than necessary when checking out in the retail area
Orchard:
We have designed the pick your own route into the orchard so that you will have minimal face to face contact. We appreciate your patience, as we will not provide tractor rides at this time. Face covering/mask is mandatory in the PYO line
While in the orchard, we ask that you maintain social distancing guidelines of a six (6) foot buffer between individuals or family units
If you plan to picnic, tables are spaced a safe distance apart. We want you to enjoy your visit! Please do not move the tables without the assistance of a Drew Farm employee
Please refrain from sampling apples and dropping them on the ground.
Children should maintain close proximity to family members and guardians while in the orchard.

It's the GREAT PUMPKIN weekend!
This weekend our focus is all on PUMPKINS! We have TONS for you to choose from. You can enjoy an extended tractor ride through the orchard to the safe and clean pumpkin patch where you can choose the perfect pumpkin for Halloween. OR choose from the huge display of pumpkins of all sizes in our retail area. The orchard setting is positively gorgeous this time of year so feel free to bring the kids and your puppy for a Drew Farm stroll around the apple trees.
WE STILL HAVE PLENTY OF APPLES to choose from in our retail area: McIntosh, Cortland, Macoun, Empire, Evercrisp and Honey Crisp. We will also have cider donuts (while they last) fresh pressed apple cider, and Drew Farm Root Beer.
In preparation for our Annual Pumpkin Light on Halloween, we invite you to express your creativity and help to carve pumpkins for our display. Children and adults are welcome but children must be accompanied by an adult and old enough to use stencils to carve out. We will have the pumpkins gutted for carving; all you need is some inspiration and willingness to leave your pumpkin so that we can add it to our display. Then, on Halloween night, as you stroll through the walk, you’ll have to be on the lookout to see if you can spot your masterpiece!
